Immaculate (DeConstruction) #1

I have been photographing years on the Faroe Islands, people and landscapes within the documentary style and scope. These images are created from my inner feelings of frustration over the muteness a photograph still has. I wanted to de-construct the landscape and make a re-construction in which the critical vantage point of this frustration is made visible. One can not own land nor discover it, but this is what is done, by a photograph and by the visiting tourist/photographer, every day, on and on. The starting point for these works are photographic moments but they disintegrate into something else through my de-construction. This is the inner breakage, the breaking loose from the relation with the real and a step inwards. No additional words to convey a message are needed, only the experience in looking, seeing and maybe – feeling.
